Heavy-duty cutting is characterized by roughing process, the processing margin is large and uneven, and rough surface has hard spots, sand, porosity and other defects. And the workpiece size of heavy-duty cutting is generally large, heavy weight, Therefore, heavy-duty cutting with cutting speed is low, cutting depth is large, and the feed rate is low.
To achieve heavy cutting, the tool material is very important. At present, CBN Insert is the hardest tool for processing ferrous metal material. Solid CBN Insert is the first choice materials for heavy cutting iron metal whose hardness is second only to diamond.
