Halnn launch new cbn inserts BNK30 for Machining Cast Iron
In 2016, Halnn launched new CBN Inserts Grade BNK30 which is specific for processing cast iron.
BNK30 use non-metallic (ceramic) as a binder, and it can be used for both roughing and finishing process which focus both advantages of BN-S30 and BN-S300 solid cbn inserts. It will have high precision and be more wear resistant when machining gray cast iron parts. BNK30 grade cbn inserts are more suitable for processing gray cast iron in aerospace industry. Combine cubic boron nitride powder with binder, BNK30 cbn inserts strengthen the impact toughness and fracture resistance, to obtain better stability. Another advantage of this new material is excellent wear resistance in high speed machining conditions. Compared with coating insert, the tool life is more than 20 times.
