BN-K10 CBN Inserts---Machining Powder Metallurgy Component

Due to its unique advantages (porous structure), powder metallurgy is widely used in many industries. At the same time, the difficulty in powder metallurgy processing lies in the porous structure. Due to the presence of porous pores, their hardness values also fluctuate within a small area. Even if the measured macro-hardness is HRC20-35, the particle hardness of the component parts will be as high as HRC60, and these hard particles will cause micro-fatigue and sharp wear of the cutting edge.

1. Machining Powder Metallurgy Valve seat ring
Process: Finishing process
Common Insert: DCGW11T304
With Halnn CBN Insert, it can realize high cutting speed and obtain high roughness.

2. Machining Powder metallurgy pulley
For finishing process, Halnn recommend PCBN insert. Comparing with other PCBN Insert, Halnn cbn insert is more economic.
Case as follows:
Particle hardness: HRC62
Machining Mateirals: Sintered powder metallurgy
Insert grade: BN-K10 CCGW09T304
Cutting Parameters: VC=150m/min, Fr=0.15mm/r,ap=0.35mm

Machining Process: Dry Cutting
