BN-K1 Solid CBN Inserts rough machining High Chromium Cast I

High Chromium Cast Iron, as one of the most wear resistant materials, are widely used many different industry, typical parts include mill rolls, pump, ect.
High Chromium cast iron also belong to high hardness difficult to machine materials, in the process, it often appears the following process problems:
BN-K1 Solid CBN Insert
(1) The hardness usually is above HRC45, traditional cutting tools will wear rapidly in the process, especially for the large scale parts, one component will need not only one insert, it needs to change the insert frequently, which will affect the surface quality.
(2) For the castings, especially for the large scale high chromium cast iron component, it has large allowance, and the surface will have casting defects (such as sand, stomach, hard point, ect) . Traditional cutting tools will be easily chipping when meet some casting defects, which lead the high costs on the cutting tools.
Halnn Recommend you: Halnn, as the manufacturer of producing superhard cutting tools, have researched special cbn grade BN-k1 for rough machining high chromium cast iron, especially for the high chromium cast iron parts with casting defects. BN-K1 belongs to solid cbn inserts, and the content of BN will reach about 90%, has strong impact toughness. It will not chip when meet sand, stomach, ect casting defects.

The application case of BN-K1 solid cbn inserts rough machining high chromium cast iron rolls
Component materials: High Chromium cast iron
Component name: Mill Rolls
Hardness: Above HRC50
Insert grade:BN-K1 CNMN120712
Cutting Parameters: Vc=50m/min, Fr=0.35mm/r,ap=4mm
Machining Effect: When the cutting depth is large, it will not appear wear seriously or chipping phenomenon, it will has good wear resistance and impact toughness, which have obtain the recognization from most of our customers, and have build long term cooperation.
