The choice of the Crushing Cone materials
Crushing Cone, as one of the most important part of the Crusher, need obey high impact and abrasion, so the abrasive resistance become one important research direction in wear resistant parts industry.
High manganese steel can meet all the requirements on the hardness and the abrasive resistance, it has excellent Anti-wear performance, and are widely use for crushing cone industry.
Difficult problems on machining crushing cone
(1)High manganese steel has high plasticity and toughness, chip breaking is difficult.
(2)Serious work hardening, high cutting temperature
(3)Large allowance and irregular surface
Based on above difficult problems,the cutting tools need to have high hardness, high abrasive resistance and impact toughness. In current times, the most suitable cutting tools are carbide insert, pcbn insert. We can choose the ideal cutting tools depending on the practical machining conditions to lower the costs and improve the efficiency.
Recommend cutting tools for machining crushing cone as follows:
(1)Carbide Inserts, large allowance, we can use YG Series, small cutting depth, we can choose YW series.
(2)Solid CBN Inserts: when meet the irregular surface, if it belongs to heavy interrupt turning condition, we can choose BN-K1 Solid CBN inserts, if it has large allowance, and need high abrasive resistance and high precision, we can choose BN-S20 solid cbn inserts
(3)When machining single crushing cone, we can use carbide insert, if it belongs to bulk order, we can use solid cbn inserts.
Efficiency improved obviously with BN-K1 and BN-S20 Solid cbn Inserts
BN-S20 and BN-K1 belong to solid cbn inserts with non-metal adhesive, they not only have excellent abrasive resistance, but also have good impact resistance and Anti-fracture performance comparing with traditional cbn inserts. They also can be used for machining the crushing cone with irregular surface, reduce work hardening, improve the efficiency.
CBN Inserts BN-K1 and BN-S20 use dry cutting process, which can reduce the product costs and protect the working environment.
