Rough Machining Crushing Cone---BN-K1 Solid CBN Insert

Crushing Cone are mainly used for breaking the hard ores and rocks, are widely used in mining, metallurgy, structuring machinery and chemical field.

In order to ensure the long working time, we usually use high manganese steel as the main materials of crushing cone, the hardness and the durability have been improved. However, machining this material became a difficult problem:

(1) The crushing cone has high hardness, and the insert wear rapidly, which will also lead to the insert chipping.
(2) Large cutting force, high cutting temperature lead to the cutting tools low durability.
(3) The cutting tools and the chips will become BUE because of high temperature and high pressure, which will affect the workpiece surface roughness, and can’t ensure the workpiece quality.
(4) The chips can’t be removed easily.

For above problems, Halnn recommend solid cbn insert BN-K1, which have got the recognized from most customers. Especially when machining crushing cone with Vertical lathe, the impact resistance and abrasive resistance will improve about 2~3 times than ceramic cutters.
The cutting depth of BN-K1 can arrive 7mm or more. Compared with ceramic cutters and common carbide insert, it has stronger impact resistance. And it will also perform well when meet bad castings.

Machining Effect Compared with carbide insert, the cutting speed and the cutting depth of BN-K1 will be about 2 time more, the efficiency will improve about 12 times.
