Depending on the transport of the things, the pumps will be different. The slurry pump is used to transport liquid which containing suspended solid. It is one of the most important equipment in the technological process of the coal preparation plant at present. The slurry pump has so many components, the main components include impeller, pump shaft, pump housing, ect. And the impeller is the only working components in the slurry pump. Because of the bad working environment, the manufacturers usually make high chromium cast iron as the main materials, such as Cr26,Cr20.
The high chromium cast iron impeller belong to casting components, it has high hardness, and usually has some defects in the casting process. And it belong to interrupt turning condition, which will require high on the cutting tools impact resistance. For this condition, only cbn inserts are the right choice.
