(2) For hardened steel with interrupt turning condition, you’d better to choose cbn insert. Because when using cbn inserts machining materials, it will not be easily chipping and damage, and has good impact resistance and anti-fracture performance.
(3) When machining high hardness cast iron and cast steel, especially for some workpiece with sand and Stomata ect defects, cbn insert will be your right choice, it not only is durable , but also will not reduce the tool life caused by the casting defects.
(4) For large qty product cast iron parts, it will has better efficiency with cbn insert. Traditional cutting tools, like carbide insert and coating insert, it can be used by the small manufacturers, who will not pay more attention the efficiency. However for the large enterprise, they would like to improve the efficiency and lower the production costs, so now cbn insert will be their right choice. When use CNC Lathe, the cutting speed can arrive 1500m/min.
(5) CBN Inserts will be more suitable for dry cutting condition. One reason is cbn insert material is brittle, especially for the solid cbn insert, it will be easily chipping if adding the cutting fluid. Another reason is cbn insert has strong red hardness. So when you need dry cutting condition, you can choose cbn insert.
