The impeller is one of the main parts for slurry pump , it uses high chromium cast iron as the main materials, such as Cr26. Each impeller has 5~12 impellers, it belongs to interrupted turning condition, so it will require high on the cutting tools.
In current times, CBN Inserts is the most suitable cutting tools for interrupted turning slurry pump impeller, because cbn insert is the hardest materials for machining ferrous metals, and especially BN-K1 solid cbn inserts are most widely used.
The advantages of BN-K1 Solid CBN Insert:
(1) The content of cubic boron nitride is 90%, high hardness, excellent wear resistance
